Thermite welding

Last weekend Infrabel repaired a bad weld on one of the rails of platform 6 in Antwerp Central Station. A perfect setting for a few shots.
They took out the 6m section with the cracked weld and replaced it with a new one. We got a splendit explanation on how themite welding works.
